The ALARME ! re-enactment is held on the third Sunday of the month. The 50 minute re-enactment portrays in a schematized way the history of the Napoleonic tenure in Malta (1798 - 1800). The story recounts the landing of the French troops and their conquest of Malta as well as the troubled administration of the new Republican government and the Maltese rebellion that led to the blockade of the French troops. The story unfolds in a dramatized live re-enactment and ends with the surrender of the French troops at the hands of the British. The re-enactment is staged by the Historical Re-enactment Group of Malta (H.R.G.M.) The show is held on the third Sunday of the Month in February, March, April, May June; September, October and November and starts at 11.00 hrs. Admission to In Guardia: Tickets at the gate. Group tickets are also available at a reduced price from the Ministry for Tourism And Culture at 172 Melita Street, Valletta (tel: 21226425). Re-enactments Schedule at Fort St. Elmo: 18th March, 15th April, 20th May, 17th June, 16th September, 21st November. Time: 11:00hrs. Entrance Fee.
